Road Closures
During a severe weather event, a list of emergency road closures can be found in our Severe Weather Information Center.
Detour - 9th Street West, north of 17th Avenue West - December 9-10, 2024
There will be a traffic detour along 9th Street West, north of 17th Avenue West, on December 9 and 10.
- Utility work will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- The east shoulder of 9th Street West will be closed in front of LECOM field
- Northbound traffic will be diverted for approximately 600 feet.
- Minimal impacts are expected.
10th Street West from Manatee Avenue West to 4th Avenue West - December 9-16, 2024
Utility work will require a road closure along 10th Street West from Manatee Avenue West to 4th Avenue West from December 9 through December 16.
- The closure will be limited to the hours of 9 :00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to minimize impacts on local traffic.
- The Manatee County Public Parking Garage will remain open during the construction, with flaggers present to direct traffic.
- The alley from 12th Street West to 10th Street West will remain open for deliveries.

Manatee County Road Closure - 30th Avenue West between 14th Street West and 26th Street West - December 9-10, 2024.
30th Avenue West will be closed between 14th Street West and 26th Street West on December 9 and 10 for sanitary sewer connection work for the new Hope Village residential development.
- Detour Routes: Use 17th Avenue West to the north or Cortez Road to the south.
- Residents will have access up to the closure site on either side of 30th Avenue West.
31st Street West closed from 19th Avenue West to 20th Avenue Drive West - Beginning December 2, 2024
Beginning December 2nd, 31st Street West will be closed from 19th Avenue West to 20th Avenue Drive West for utility work. The work will be done in stages, which will allow local traffic to have access during the construction. This portion of the project is expected to last approximately 4 weeks. No traffic delays are anticipated.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS - FDOT (STATE) ROADWAYS
SR 64 from 43rd Street West to 15th Street East and from 10th Street West to 10th Street East: Construction project: Construction is underway for the 1.7-mile resurfacing project through the City of Bradenton.
- Overnight paving: will run through December.
- Please use caution. Note weather could alter scheduled work. Consider alternate routes.
