City Departments

The Legislative Branch of the City is comprised of the Mayor and his assistant, and the five-member City Council.

The Administrative Services Department includes: Utility Billing, Human Resources, Procurement, Risk/Safety, and Information Technology.

The Bradenton Fire Department includes: Administration, Fire Suppression, Prevention, and Training.

In addition to law enforcement, The Bradenton Police Department includes: Dispatch, Parking Enforcement, Records, and Administration.

The City Clerk  is responsible for the overall management of the official records for the City of Bradenton.

The Community Redevelopment Agency oversees the City's three Community Redevelopment Areas.

The Department of Planning & Community Development includes: Building Division, Code Enforcement, Comprehensive Planning & Zoning, and Housing & Community Development.

The Public Works & Utilities Department includes: Solid Waste, Recycling, Executive/Administration, Facilities Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, Engineering, Sewer Collection, Landscape & Grounds, Drainage, Mechanical/Lift Stations, Electrical, City Parks, Streets, River Run Golf Links, Storm Water, and Water distribution, treatment and reclamation
