CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS - FDOT (STATE) ROADWAYS
9th Street West from 6th Avenue West to Manatee Avenue West:
The Florida Department of Transportation has completed changes to the median on 9th Street West between Manatee Ave West and 6th Avenue West.
- The left-hand turn lane for northbound traffic on US 41 Business (9th Street West) at Manatee Avenue/SR 64 has been permanently closed. As an alternative, motorists wishing to travel westbound on Manatee Avenue/SR 64 can turn left on 8th Avenue West, then right onto 10th Street West (or 12th St W or 14th St W), and make a left onto Manatee Avenue/SR 64.

SR 64 from 43rd Street West to 15th Street East and from 10th Street West to 10th Street East: Construction project: Construction is near completion for the 1.7-mile resurfacing project through the City of Bradenton.
- Overnight paving will continue as needed.
SR 64 (Manatee Avenue) from 10th Street to Braden River: Milling, resurfacing, curb and sidewalk, signal work at three intersections, some pipe replacements and drainage improvements. The project limits cover 3.4 miles.
- Construction began early January 2025; estimated completion is mid-2025.
- Motorists can expect lane closures overnight, starting after 7:30 p.m. for milling and resurfacing.
- Pedestrians can expect detours throughout the project and are encouraged to use caution.
