Transition to Accela Permitting Software
Go Live on October 29, 2024
The City of Bradenton will be transitioning to a new permitting software, Accela, on October 29, 2024. This will replace our current systems. This change will enhance efficiency and consolidate all permitting functions, from contractor registration to permit closure.
Prior to the launch, another mailing will include instructions and weblinks on how to set up your account and complete contractor registration.
Many users may already be familiar with Accela, as it’s widely used in Manatee, Sarasota, Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Polk counties, to name a few. For those who are not, there is no need to worry—our staff will be available to assist with any questions. Additionally, we will provide step-by-step instructions for reference.
As this implementation coincides with the annual contractor registration, contractors will need to re-register through Accela. If you do not have any active permits or will not be applying for one before the launch, you can wait to register until Accela is available.
Permits submitted before Accela’s go-live date will continue to be processed in the current system until closure. Any applications submitted after the launch will be processed through the Accela online portal.
Thank you for your cooperation.
