City of Bradenton Expands Support: Additional Mobile Recovery Hygiene Centers Open for Residents Affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton
BRADENTON, FL – In continued efforts to support residents impacted by Hurricane Helene, and most recently Hurricane Milton, the City of Bradenton is pleased to announce the opening of additional Mobile Hygiene Recovery Centers to provide essential personal services, specifically serving the hardest-hit neighborhoods in the city’s historic Braden Castle/Braden River District.
The large commercial trailers will offer self-contained laundry equipment with washers and dryers, and separate trailers with restrooms, and hot shower facilities, ensuring residents have access to vital amenities during this challenging time.
The following locations are now available for community support:
- 21st St. E. & 2nd Ave E.
- 27th St. E. & 3rd Ave E.
- 922 24th St. E. – Coming soon.
The 21st St. and 24th St. centers are in addition to the Mobile Hygiene Center located at 27th St. E. and 3rd Ave E., which was open before Hurricane Milton and temporarily removed for safety reasons as the storm approached.
City officials are working closely with regional partners and volunteer organizations to ensure that supplies are available, and residents have access to necessary services as recovery efforts progress.
Mayor Gene Brown emphasized the importance of community resilience during this time: “Our City has faced an immense challenge, but it’s heartening to see neighbors and volunteers come together to help those in need. We are grateful for everyone’s hard work, and we will continue to do everything in our power to secure resources for our recovery.”
