Bradenton City Council Selects Leadership During Swearing-In Ceremony - January 6, 2025

BRADENTON, FL – The Bradenton City Council held a special swearing-in ceremony today, January 6, 2025, to welcome re-elected officials and select Council leadership for the coming year.

In November 2024, Mayor Gene Brown was re-elected for another term as the 20th Mayor of Bradenton, continuing his leadership of the City. Joining him in taking the oath of office were Ward 1 Councilwoman Jayne Kocher and Ward 5 Councilwoman Pam Coachman, both re-elected by their constituents.

Mayor Brown expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by the citizens of Bradenton, saying, "It is an honor to continue serving our great city. Together, with the Council and our residents, we will build on Bradenton's progress and ensure a bright future for all."

During the meeting, the Council elected Councilman Josh Cramer as Vice Mayor and Councilwoman Lisa Gonzalez Moore as Second Vice Mayor. Additionally, Councilwoman Jayne Kocher was elected as Bradenton Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Chairman and Councilwoman Pam Coachman as CRA Vice Chairman.
