Nuisance Abatement Board
Description: Hears complaints regarding public nuisances, including prostitution, sale of controlled substances, dealing in stolen property, and gang activity. When a property has been declared a nuisance, the board can levy daily fines until the property owner abates the nuisance.
Meetings: Fourth Thursday of the month at 2 p.m., as needed, in the City Council chambers
Board size: 7 regular members and 2 alternates
Terms: Three years
